Koperasi Usahawan Muda Pulau Pinang Bhd (KUMUDA), registered with Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (Cooperative Commission of Malaysia) in June 2009, is a members-owned public company focusing on entrepreneurs that had its roots from Pusat Desa Internet (PID) Balik Pulau’s Social Entrepreneurs Club.

The objective of KUMUDA is to be a platform for new entrepreneurs to venture into business activities deemed non-conventional for rural/suburban areas (where most original members are from), besides for members to reap benefits via collaboration among each others’ businesses, sharing of common resources and maximizing opportunities offered by the government and supporting organizations.
